Lycée (Upper Secondary, Ages 15–18)

The Lycée stage is the final step of the French curriculum, covering Seconde, Première, and Terminale (ages 15–18). It prepares students for the French Baccalauréat, an internationally recognised qualification that opens access to universities in France and around the world.

At Lycée, students begin to specialise in subjects of interest while continuing to strengthen their core knowledge. This stage develops critical thinking, independence, and academic excellence, ensuring readiness for higher education or professional pathways.

  • Seconde (10th Grade, age 15–16)
This year serves as a general and exploratory period, providing common subjects along with optional electives to assist students in selecting their area of specialisation.
  • Première (11th Grade, age 16–17)
Students choose three specialisation subjects, along with a set of core subjects.
  • Terminale (12th Grade, age 17–18)
