The Cambridge Pathway at Windfield

The Cambridge Pathway is internationally recognised and provides a well-structured progression through five stages of learning. Each stage is flexible, adaptable, and designed to prepare students for the next phase of education.

Early Years Foundation Stage
Ages 3 - 5

A play-based, holistic, and child-centred program focussing on communication, creativity, mathematics, personal and social development, physical development, and understanding the world.

Cambridge Primary
Ages 5 - 11

The program consists of six stages (Years 1–6) that cover 11 subjects, including English, mathematics, science, computing, art & design, Global Perspectives™, and wellbeing. Emphasis on inquiry-based, active learning and the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint assessments.

Cambridge Lower Secondary
Ages 11 - 14

Three stages (Years 7–9) offering 13 subjects, including English, ESL, science, digital literacy, Global Perspectives™, arts, music, PE, and wellbeing. Focus on inquiry, collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world application, preparing learners for IGCSE/O Levels.

Cambridge Upper Secondary
Ages 14 - 16

Students choose from a broad range of IGCSE and O Level subjects (5–14 subjects across Languages, Humanities, Sciences, Mathematics, and Creative/Professional disciplines). Courses build academic depth, practical skills, and international perspectives.

Cambridge Advanced
Ages 16 - 19

Learners specialise in AS & A Levels (3–5 subjects). The curriculum emphasises research, critical analysis, debate, and extension projects. At Windfield, students also benefit from a hybrid learning option in partnership with Wolsey Hall Oxford, expanding subject choice and ensuring readiness for top universities worldwide.
